Inclusions in Bedding Bundles
While you can buy bedding pieces separately, you can also buy these in sets. Most busy people prefer to do this because it takes less time to get everything into play. These bedding sets are also called bedding bundles. Although different brands can include varying quantity and additional materials in their bedding bundles, there are standard pieces that a bedding bundle cannot not have. These are:
1. Duvet Cover
This is what you use to cover the duvet or the quilt. This protects the duvet which also extends the lifespan of the duvet. Some come with zippers, buttons or fabric folds to hold it in place.
2. Pillowcase
This is what is used to cover and protect the pillow. It helps keep the quality of the pillow longer. It also comes with zippers, buttons or fabric folds just like the duvet cover.
3. Quilt
This acts as a warmer and more comfortable blanket. This is important if you live in an area that is cold because this will keep you warm. For people who live in warm areas this is usually substituted with a blanket.
4. Standard Size Pillow
This is simply defined as the cushion used to rest our heads on as we lay down on the bed. This measures at 20 inches by 26 inches.
These are the 4 things that are usually found in most bedding bundles although there are some that includes more than these 4. When you check the bundle, check for the fabric type of the duvet cover and pillowcase. These could be made from cotton, silk, satin or some other fabric. Make sure that you are comfortable with the feel of the fabric. You can also check the thread count to verify the softness and quality of these two. The higher the thread count is, the softer, the sturdier and the more expensive it is.
As for the pillow and the quilt, ask for what was used to stuff it. These could be cotton, goose down feather, microfiber and the like. This is important because some can cause allergic reactions so make sure that you are not allergic to the stuffing used.
Most people buy these bedding bundles in 2 sets so that they can have 2 pillows with an extra set of pillow case, duvet cover and quilt. This way they can have alternates when the first set in the wash. When people do this technique, they usually just get an extra pillowcase in plain colours so that they can just match it with the first pillowcase. Of course, that would depend on what you need. If you just need a single pillow then you could settle for one. The good thing about these bedding bundles is that it makes it easier for you to complete your bedding necessities and it also usually comes in cheaper prices compared to buying the pieces one by one.
